A spreading machine (foreign name: scutcher) is a mechanical device used for spreading knitted fabric. It unfolds cylindrical fabric using an adjustable auger and achieves integrated fabric inspection and bundling operations. It is suitable for materials such as cotton yarn, blended fabrics, and polyester.

This equipment is available in single-sided, double-sided, and untwisted spreading machine models. The single-sided model uses a 36G fine needle pitch and a proprietary feeder technology, directly weaving in the yarn through the needle hook to reduce spandex wear. The double-sided model features a multi-path knitting system and an electric blade spreading structure, equipped with 160 variable speed ratio designs.

The ASMA281 series untwisted spreading machine adopts a modular structure, integrating microelectronic technology to achieve automatic untwisting, infrared centering, and frequency conversion speed regulation. It is suitable for rope processing of cotton, linen, and chemical fiber fabrics. The standard model is equipped with a liftable fabric feeder and a spiral spreading roller; some models can be equipped with an electric eye stitching system. The working width is 1900-2300mm, and the roll inspection speed is 5-80m/min.
